Десятиминутный штраф, назначенный хоккеисту, который оскорбил судью или совершил другое нарушение. Игрок удаляется с площадки, но команда нарушителя имеет право немедленно выпустить на лед другого игрока. По истечении штрафного времени оштрафованный игрок может вернуться на лед при первой же остановке игры, если не были назначены другие штрафы. Далее нарушитель отстраняется от следующей игры своей команды, и есть вероятность более серьезного наказания.
